Sea Buck Complete Review

Sea Buck Complete

Sea Buck Complete is an all-natural equine health and performance product.  Unlike a lot of your other products that only do one thing, Sea Buck Complete is said to help your horse look better, feel better, and perform better.

The seabuckthorn berry (also known as the sandthorn, sandorn, and Siberian pineapple) is where this product gets its name.  This berry has been tested in numerous studies for its beneficial compounds and has been used for thousands of years by several civilizations.  Amazingly its scientific name actually translates to "shiny horse".

The main benefits of the product are a powerful network of antioxidants for long term health , a healthy digestive function, healthy skin and coat, and healthy reproductive function.

This is Alice before the two week trial run.

Here is our results after two weeks:

I received a gallon of Sea Buck Complete for Alice to try out for this review.

Alice has been trying out this product for the past two weeks.  I've been giving her 3 ounces mixed in with her feed each evening.

Thankfully the jug comes with a handy little measuring cup which made it super easy to give Alice the right amount.  I was really surprised to see the bright orange color and wondered if Alice would even eat her food after I put it on there.  But she gobbled it down with just the slightest bit of hesitation due to the new taste I guess.

Here are the after photos of Alice showing off her pretty white socks and stunningly white blaze.

The first big change I noticed was how her white got increasingly brighter.  We haven't been able to get her socks whiter (even with scrubbing) since we got her.  But low and behold they are very nice and white now.  Her coat also got a lot shinier and it feels different in texture (smoother).

She has also shown an increase in appetite (will literally chase us down to see if we have more food for her).  Now Alice is no racing horse so the performance part is a little hard to judge but she is more attentive to our commands now.  She actually pays attention to us instead of just grazing away when we go to visit her.

I can't wait to see if we have even more results as we use the rest of the jug!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Saddling up Alice...

We were not sure what Alice would do with a saddle because we had no idea when she last was rode. So we got her out and we went to put the saddle pad on her and when it touched her back she tried to run away. After showing her what it was, then putting it on her back again she did fine. Then came the saddle, we showed her right away what it was and she sniffed it and went back to grazing so we stuck it onto her back and she didn't seem to care at all. Then we tightened it up and got everything adjusted to fit her right. Then came the fun part... we led her around the yard for a little while till my dad got brave enough to get on her.  He stuck his one foot into the stirrup and started putting weight onto it...that's when Alice put her ears back and started to do little hops and spinning. That went on for a few minutes my dad trying and trying again. We then called it a day and took the saddle and saddle pad off and put them away in the barn. We were happy with how she did for being the first time in at least a year or two without being ridden at all.

(will have pictures of her with the saddle soon)

Finally...

My family and I went to the flea market Sunday in search of a saddle for Alice. We stumbled upon a bunch of saddles pretty quickly. The prices on the saddles were okay but were a little high for us. We asked the lady if she had any cheaper ones and she showed us one and started gathering up stuff to make it complete.  She also asked us if we had a saddle pad and gave us the choice between the one pictured above or a thinner one for $10 less.  We chose the one above because of Alice being older and we wanted her to be comfy.  Finally she told us how much it would be for everything...$90, we just couldn't pass that up!

Alice - 10 months later

So it has been approximately 10 months since Alice came to stay here.  She has put on a lot of weight (as you can see by the photos) and she loves to just stand in the shade peacefully now instead of constantly grazing like she used to do.  I think she is truly happy!
